For those of you who missed it, I mentioned in a tweet a while ago that I was thinking about a personal rebrand for early next year, moving away from my online moniker ‘destill’ which i’ve had for 7 years, and moving to using my actual name to represent me and my work.
Here’s some logo’s/marks I was playing around with the other day, I may not end up using any of these as I still have more ideas I want to play around with, but i’m very excited about it all!

Here’s a bunch of styleframes I worked on at Stereo for an animated sting for the BBC’s new product called Playlister.

Although only an hour or so’s work went into them I really liked the style, but would have liked some more time to clean some things up and smooth out the lines more.

Check out the final animation here which was created in Cinema4D by Mike Mahon, one of the motion guys at Stereo.

The 2013 exhibition of Desktopography launched yesterday and here’s my contributions.

The first is called ‘Mariana’. The idea is that in the deepest ocean in the world, the seaweed, reeds or just ‘matter’ down there are forming the desktopography logo, providing a source of life where there is none.

The second is called ‘Extrasolar' and was a collaboration with Craig Minchington a.k.a. AdoraAttack. The concept is based around an extrasolar planet, which is out of the solar system, yet desktopography has still found it’s way there in the form of a part buried logo.

I didn’t have much time to get both of these done so they are a little rushed but i’m still pretty pleased how they turned out. I hope they make a nice wallpaper for you!

Those of you who follow me on instagram will have seen me post up some work in progress shots and previews of a current project i’m working on with photographer Blair Bunting.
Well here’s a little teaser of the first illustration, will be posting up previews and teasers of the second very soon so if you want to see them, give me a follow :)

I’ve just put two new projects up on my site, here’s one of them, the debut album artwork for Saints of Valory. Commissioned by Atlantic Records.

A couple of monograms I worked up as part of a big pitch we’ve all been slaving over the past couple of days. Going to explore this style some more!

Here’s a little something i’ve been working on recently. It’s one of many styleframes I created for the BBC and this years Glastonbury festival.
That’s all the information you’re getting for now, the full project will be up on my site soon :)

NEW BLOG

I’ve built myself a shiny new portfolio site and moved away from Wordpress. Now that blog is scrapped i’ve decided to utilise this one for all my work/life updates.

And I promise to keep it more updated than the last one i.e. more than 1 post every 3 months.

Thanks and I hope you don’t unfollow me because this post doesn’t have a pretty picture alongside it, plenty of those to come :)
